Founded in 1976 the UK based Institute of Professional Investigators is now the largest organisation of its kind in the UK, yet emphasis is on quality rather than quantity. Current representation within the Institute membership includes private investigators and in-house corporate investigators who recognise the need for an academic/vocational Institute, acting not only in the interests of its Members but also in the public interest.
